I-TEC is sponsoring this trip to Vanuatu to do Electrical work. While we are traveling and working we will use this blog to update all of you who are interested in what we are doing. Eventually there will be many pictures and information on the trip on I-TEC's website: www.itec.org. Please check out the website to see what I-TEC has been doing to Power Missions Worldwide. To God be the glory for what He has done and is doing through organizations like I-TEC and Friends In Action International. . For those of you who do not know where Vanuatu is located, it is approximately 800 miles due north of New Zealand in between Fiji on the east and New Caledonia on the west. Check out the Current Projects tab on the website of Friends In Action International to read about the work being done in Vanuatu. (http://fiaintl.org)
Eight of the ten of us going to Vanuatu are meeting at Harrisburg International Airport for our flight out at 2:30pm Saturday, July 10, 2010. We will meet one more of the team at Los Angeles International later in the evening. We will be flying all night to Sidney, then heading for Port Vila, Vanuatu. From Port Vila we will travel to the island of Espiritu Santo where we will spend the next few weeks doing mostly electrical work for Friends In Action International. We will meet our final team member near our destination.
As we make our way to our final destination we will be checking in occasionally with a few photos and comments on our progress, We would really appreciate your prayers for our safety, for getting through customs, for getting our tools to the site so that we can begin to do the work we are called to do, and for unity of our group. We are looking forward to doing wiring in Friends In Action International's Mission Centre/Ranch.
If all of our flights go as scheduled, we should be on the ground in Luganville, Vanuatu around 3:35am Monday Eastern Time. So, from 2:30pm Saturday until 3:35am Monday amounts to about 37 hours, plenty of time to catch up on some reading and getting acquainted. Keep checking back to see how we are making out. We'll keep you posted.
Thanks for the link Gary.
ReplyDeleteOur prayers are with you and the team.
Go with God,
